A marketing degree prepares you to enter the creative, fast-paced business of promoting, developing and selling products to unique customer markets.
Depending on your career goals, current educational status and the time and financial commitment you are able to undertake, you can pursue either undergraduate or graduate degrees in marketing.
Though the different degrees vary in length, depth and intensity, graduates of any marketing degree program are equipped with the analytical and communication skills crucial to understanding customer needs.

Types of Marketing Degrees
Undergraduates can earn a bachelor's degree in marketing. Typically, marketing programs fall under the school of business, either as a concentration within the business administration major or as a specialization within the general study of business. Bachelor's programs generally require four years of full-time study and qualify graduates for jobs in product development, product management, marketing research, advertising and promotions.
The most common graduate degrees are a master's in marketing management or an MBA with a concentration in marketing. With either of these degrees, you place yourself in the running for upper-level and executive management roles, such as director of advertising or public relations, senior product manager, sales or territory manager or product director. Full-time students can complete their master's or MBA in an average of one to two years.
