President George W. Bush
The 43rd President is the only United States President to hold an MBA degree, which he earned from Harvard Business School in 1975. After first honing his business skills managing the Texas Rangers major league baseball team and running several small oil companies in Texas, President Bush began a successful political career first as Governor of Texas, then by presiding over two terms as President of the United States.
Jon Corzine
This famous Governor started his career with jobs in banking and finance while completing school for his MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He worked his way up to the position of Chairman and Co-CEO of financial services giant, Goldman Sachs, leaving the company in 1998. Mr. Corzine then turned his sights onto politics, serving as US Senator and Governor of the State of New Jersey.
Philip H. Knight
As an undergraduate student at the University of Oregon, Mr. Knight pursued his passion for running on the college track team. While attending school for an MBA several years later at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Mr. Knight found his other passion: entrepreneurship. After discovering high-quality, low-cost sneakers on a trip to Japan, Mr. Knight decided to bring these shoes to the US Enlisting help from his University of Oregon running coach, Mr. Knight formed the Nike company, which is now the world's top producer of athletic shoes and apparel.
Indra K. Nooyi
The popular President and CEO of PepsiCo, a multinational Fortune 500 food and beverage company, began her career in her native India before being admitted to the Yale School of Management in 1978. She joined PepsiCo in 2000 and since that time annual revenue for Pepsi has increased 72 percent and profits almost doubled. Ms. Nooyi has been named as one of the world's most powerful women by both Forbes and Fortune magazine, and one of America's Best Leaders by US News & World Report.
Daniel S. Fulton
As President and CEO of Weyerhaeuser, one the largest pulp and paper companies in the world, Mr. Fulton oversees the operations of 20,000 employees in 13 countries. He went to school for an MBA in Finance at the University of Washington in Seattle and went on to complete the Executive Program at Stanford University.
