The Associate of Applied Science Small Business Management program is designed to meet the needs of students who have the goal of starting a new business or expanding an existing business. The program emphasizes the knowledge, skills, and abilities that are essential to becoming a successful small business owner and/or manager. Students will acquire skills in entrepreneurial strategies and planning, feasibility analysis, market analysis, and competitor analysis and will develop a comprehensive business plan for a new business venture.
Accounting is a core program for any educational institution that is serious about business, and it's no different at National American University. The Associate of Applied Science degree in Accounting provides specialized education for various entry-level positions in the accounting profession. It's also designed for easy transfer into the bachelor's degree in accounting. Graduates of this program can expect to find employment as accounting technicians, payroll clerks, bookkeepers or clerical assistants in business, government or non-profit organizations. With experience, graduates may qualify for more advanced positions, such as payroll supervisors, lead accountants or tax specialists.
National American University's Associate of Applied Science degree in Applied Management is designed to meet the needs of individuals who have acquired occupational-related training at community colleges, technical institutes, military service schools or industry-related schools in business, health or another technical field. This program provides business students with an overview of accounting, economics, finance and management knowledge and skills needed for entry-level business supervisory positions. It also gives them an understanding of professional ethics and its application to the business environment.
As a university grounded in the basics of business, National American University's business administration degree program might be considered the flagship of all we have to offer. NAU's Associate of Applied Science degree program emphasizes an understanding of business and an introduction to the use of computers in business. Students may elect to continue in the Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. They may also choose an emphasis in accounting, information technology, financial management, pre-law, international business, management or marketing.
