Associate's - Accounting Specialist

The accounting specialist program is designed to meet the needs of those students who work in the accounting field or who are presently employed and want to complete additional accounting courses beyond the diploma level. As a student in this program, you'll prepare for positions such as accounting clerk, accounts payable/receivable specialists, personal income tax clerks, collection clerks or professional bookkeepers.

Special emphasis is placed on combining accounting theory and practice with the microcomputer with advanced computerized accounting classes. Upon graduation, you will be encouraged to sit for the Certified Bookkeeper (CB) national certification.

Associate's - Salon Management

You can! Virginia College's Salon Management program helps transform your talent for hair, nail or skin care into a rewarding career as a salon manager or salon owner. This program gives licensed cosmetologists the opportunity to learn the business, marketing and management skills needed while earning an associate degree.

Managing or owning a salon opens a world of opportunity and new earning potential. You'll lead and encourage others, find ways to attract new clients, and operate professionally. From a one-person shop in an assisted living facility, to a hair design studio in a day spa, to a multi-chair salon in your favorite city…your opportunities in the field are unlimited.
