The Associate of Applied Science degree in Accounting is designed for those who want a thorough knowledge of the principles of accounting as well as business methods and procedures. The Associate of Applied Science degree in Business provides students with skills in basic management, accounting and computer science applications. The program is designed to impart an understanding of fundamental business management principles and to develop a diversity of business knowledge. Students are given an academic background from computer science to principles of finance. The program covers sales and marketing concepts, customer relations, economics, management, marketing and accounting principles. Principles of Management covers an analysis of management principles integrated with concepts of the behavioral sciences. Management processes, resources and organizational structures are also introduced. Introduction to Marketing covers such topics as characteristics of markets for consumer goods, marketing functions and techniques, price policies and marketing costs.
