Herzing University

Herzing University was one of the first post-secondary institutions founded to train students for the computer industry. The first Herzing University was founded as a computer programming school in 1965 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, by Henry and Suzanne Herzing. Since then, Herzing University has grown from a modest classroom to a progressive leader in career education. The Herzing University system now includes campuses in eight U.S. states, located in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Minnesota, Omaha, Ohio and Wisconsin. In addition, there are four Canadian campuses in the provinces of Quebec, Ontario, and Manitoba. For distance learners, Herzing Online offers more than 30 different academic programs.

While expanding its campuses, Herzing also diversified its educational programs to include the fields of business management, electronics, health care, design and public safety. It also raised the level of credentials from not only diplomas, but also bachelors of science degrees and associate of science degrees at all its U.S. campuses. In addition, Herzing Online offers an MBA with three different concentrations.

Herzing University's Career Services Department provides all graduates with individual assistance during the job search process. As the students get closer to graduation, the Career Services Department moves to center stage in its efforts to help every graduate secure employment.

Earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in 3 years

Herzing University assures that a student enrolled in a Bachelor of Science degree program can complete the program requirements and earn the degree in three years, or Herzing University will provide, at no tuition cost to the student, any additional courses required to complete the program. Courses in the last four semesters are usually offered in the evening. (Subject to conditions, see current Herzing University catalog for details. Not available at all Herzing campuses.)

Associate of Science in Business Administration

The program prepares students with the necessary skills and academic knowledge for entry-level positions in various business enterprises. These career opportunities may be in areas such as accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, business administration, sales, marketing, and human resources.

Associate of Science in Computer Science

This program prepares students with the necessary academic knowledge and technical competencies for entry-level positions in the computer information systems development industry. These career opportunities may be in areas such as computer programming, desktop application, design and development, client-side Web site application design and development, database application design and development, and end-user support.

Associate of Science in Computer Networking and Security Technology

This program prepares students with the necessary academic knowledge and technical competencies for entry-level technical positions in the computer network technology industry. These career opportunities may be in areas such as network installation, network administration, and network support.

Associate of Science in Computers, Electronics, and Telecommunications Technology

This program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to test, install, repair, configure, manage, and maintain a wide range of electronic devices, systems, and services. The program focuses on fundamental skills that ground their ability to broaden their knowledge of electronics in a competitive employment environment.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

The program prepares students with the necessary skills and academic knowledge for entry-level or management training positions in various business enterprises. These career opportunities may be in areas such as accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, business administration, sales, marketing, human resources, legal office administration or health care management. Offered with concentration in business management.

Bachelor of Science in Information Technology

The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology program employs an integrated and coherent approach that prepares students with the necessary academic knowledge and technical competencies required for a range of positions. The curriculum is focused on designing, implementing or supporting solutions to business problems in the general categories of information technology, information management, and business communications. Coursework is designed to enhance and build upon the knowledge and skills of students with associate degrees, completed coursework or practical experience in either networking or programming applications. Career opportunities include, but are not limited to, areas such as systems analysis, application programming, web design, network design or administration.

Bachelor of Science in Technology Management
