The Ageno School of Business prepares students for managerial and professional careers in business. Our full-time and adjunct professors have relevant experience in the fields in which they teach, and each of them brings on-the-job insight directly into class debate and discussion. Outside of class, professors work as CEOs, directors, vice presidents, entrepreneurs, consultants, partners and managers at companies of all sizes. The School of Business embraces opportunities for international diversity in its students, faculty and programs.The School of Business has created programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels that:

  • Blend theory and practical application utilizing case studies, industry site visits and lab-based courses to help individuals build skills that transfer from the classroom to the workplace.

An MBA can benefit almost any career. Since 1953, the MBA program has been highly regarded for its academic and professional excellence. Guided by experienced faculty, you'll study the theories and concepts important to managing business, and spend equivalent amounts of time discussing and applying them in a hands-on, case-study framework-the method of choice for today's top business schools. For those who prefer maximum flexibility and convenience in scheduling, we offer evening and online courses that you can take when and where it is most convenient for you.

The Saturday MBA Program

The same classes in the traditional MBA program are now offered on Saturday at our Bay Area regional locations. Most students will take one class in the morning and one class in the afternoon during a given term. There are five 10-week terms per academic year.

Executive Master of Public Administration

The EMPA is offered to students interested in a thorough understanding of the process and practices associated with the management of public sector organization at the federal, state and urban levels of government. It will introduce you to the relevant set of knowledge and skills required to function effectively in a managerial or executive role within such organizations. We've designed the program for administrators who already have functional expertise in specific areas, but who need a broader knowledge of other areas, such as finance, human resources and labor-management relations to qualify for higher level positions. The EMPA program is available online, or in a mixed-mode format, where some classes are offered in person and others are offered online. The mixed-mode program is available at Roseville and Monterey Bay.

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)

The BBA is the undergraduate equivalent of the MBA. While studying the core subjects, you'll also explore a wide spectrum of business-related issues including how to run a business, how to understand the changing definition of profit in today's global marketplace and an in-depth examination of the causes of business success and failure.
