Early Career MBA and MBA for Career Change (Full-Time)Back to topThe Early Career MBA and the MBA for Career Change are full-time MBA programs designed for students seeking their first professional position or career change. In just 21 months, students learn the core principles of management, refine their career interests, develop an in-depth understanding of one or more career areas of interest, and build the portfolio of experience needed to succeed in a competitive job market. Faculty are excellent teachers who are committed to their students and to the educational model of "learning by doing." From the first day of class, students apply what they learn to real organizations. Class consulting projects, internships, in-depth case studies, the Student Investment Fund, the PACE program, Oregon Ethics in Business Awards, and a complete program of career services offer powerful opportunities for professional development. Curricular areas of interest include the following:
International options within the full-time MBA include a range of courses in international management and exchange programs with Bordeaux School of Management (France), Copenhagen Business School (Denmark) and E.M. Strasbourg Business School (France). The distinct design of Willamette's full-time MBA makes it an excellent choice for students seeking an MBA directly after completion of their bachelor's degree or after one or more years of work experience. A waiver-based accelerated option of the MBA for Career Change is available to qualified students who have a strong background in the academic study of business from a business school accredited by AACSB International and at least two years of professional work experience. Accelerated students focus their studies in the second year MBA curriculum and complete the MBA in approximately nine to fifteen months of full-time study. MBA for Professionals (Evening/Part-Time)Back to topWillamette's MBA for Professionals provides working professionals the opportunity to complete their MBA in the evenings. Professional MBA students immediately apply what they learn to their work place and accelerate their career within their organization. Professional MBA students can complete their MBA degree in 24 months. Courses are taught by Willamette MBA professors--excellent teachers with real world experience--who emphasize the practical application of knowledge and a cross-functional understanding of management.
