Business Operations - Certificate (Day / Evening)
Office administration is one of the fastest-growing industries today. The technological revolution has created numerous career opportunities for people with the right skills. HoHoKus School's Business Operations Program provides students with updated skills enabling them to work in an office or comparable business setting.
The Business Operations program is an intensive 9-month (day classes) or 11.5-month (night classes) course that gives students a broad base of skills including the following:
- Typing and data entry, stressing speed and accuracy on the keyboard and 10-key pad
- Computer literacy - students gain proficiency in Microsoft Windows, DOS, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Computerized Accounting
- Use of office equipment including copiers, faxes, Dictaphones, electronic calculators, computers and printers
- Business English with emphasis on writing, format and grammar
- Business Presentation skills
- Bookkeeping, accounting principles and procedures, and business math
The skills learned in this program will equip students to obtain entry-level positions in business, industry or government. Job titles for graduates include administrative assistant, secretary, receptionist, accounting clerk, data entry clerk and customer service representative.
