Diploma - Accounting Assistant

The accounting assistant program at Virginia College will prepare you for an entry-level position as an accounting, bookkeeping or auditing clerk with skills in today's computer-based accounting systems. In addition to accounting skills, you'll also be exposed to analytic, communication and computer fundamentals that will help make you a more valuable employee and better able to compete for jobs in this solid career field.

Diploma - Accounting Specialist

The accounting specialist program is designed to meet the needs of those students who work in the accounting field or who are presently employed and want to complete additional accounting courses beyond the diploma level.

As a student in this program, you'll prepare for positions such as accounting clerk, accounts payable/receivable specialists, personal income tax clerks, collection clerks or professional bookkeepers.

Special emphasis is placed on combining accounting theory and practice with the microcomputer with advanced computerized accounting classes. Upon graduation, you will be encouraged to sit for the Certified Bookkeeper (CB) national certification.

Associate's - Administrative Office Management

Administrative office management skills put you in high demand with employers. Today's companies need highly skilled men and women who can organize, manage and distribute information in the fast-paced business world. Virginia College helps you gain the special skills and prepare for the challenges you'll face with hands-on training in:

Bachelor's - Business Administration

The Bachelor's degree in Business Administration is also beneficial for those in lower-tier management positions and who need the baccalaureate credential to progress in their corporate hierarchy.
