records, and sorting documents substantiating business
transactions. Duties may also include verifying and posting
details of business transactions using calculator or computer,
and computing and recording charges, refunds and similar items.
Legal Office Administration - Certificate

Students completing the Legal Office Administration Certificate
course will learn how to prepare legal papers and correspondence,
such as summonses, complaints, motions and subpoenas. Duties may
also include reviewing law journals and other legal publications
to identify court decisions pertinent to pending cases and submit
articles to company officials, organizing and maintaining legal
files, and assisting in the maintenance of the court appearance
schedule.
