International applicants residing outside the United States, Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands are not eligible for acceptance into programs requiring supervised clinical internships or practical within the Schools of Human Services and Psychology.

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Human Services - Management of Nonprofit Agencies

Our human services PhD program meets the high academic standards of doctoral study and provides a platform for rewarding personal accomplishment. Throughout the program, you will explore and utilize advanced theory and research, critical thinking and principles of leadership which you can apply immediately in your personal and professional life.

This specialization offers opportunities for advanced study and research in nonprofit management. The curriculum addresses contemporary issues facing nonprofits, such as financial management, marketing, public policy, grant writing, advocacy and human resource management. Upon completion, you will be prepared to successfully assume key nonprofit management positions, consult, teach or establish new nonprofit community programs.

Residency Requirements: As a doctoral learner you will attend residential colloquia in addition to your online courses. Taken during specific milestones in your program, you will attend three colloquia, each one week in length.

You may be eligible for transfer of up to 48 credits.
