Certificate in Real Estate Studies

The Certificate in Real Estate Studies is a 5-course (25 credit hours) certificate program offered as an alternative to the accelerated online Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Studies degree.

Students completing the online certificate program will develop professional competencies in real estate valuation, finance and investment, property management and real estate sales.

Certificate students will be able to:

• Demonstrate an understanding of basic economics, technical business applications, regulatory/industry trends and practices in real estate
• Implement effective communications skills necessary to apply modern industry terms and their definitions that are essential to all real estate disciplines
• Understand the impact of market trends on real estate
• Understand basic real estate financial markets and financing methods; develop a working knowledge of regulatory and professional requirements related to real estate financing

Bachelor of Science in Business Management

Accredited, affordable and completely online, Marylhurst University's accelerated online Bachelor of Science in Business Management has been created just for you. Marylhurst's specialized online real estate curriculum provides the flexibility to pursue your degree while continuing to work full time. The program will strengthen your knowledge of business fundamentals, with foundation courses in statistics, accounting, finance, law, ethics, marketing and research. Instructors then apply that business acumen to real estate training in courses such as land-use planning, environmental issues and hazards and real estate finance. Students can transfer accredited, applicable coursework into the program from the Appraisal Institute, the Mortgage Bankers Association of America (CampusMBA), the Institute of Real Estate Management and the Building Owners and Managers Institute.

Master of Business Administration

Marylhurst's accredited MBA program consists of 48 quarter credits, blending academic theory with real-world practice. Instructors use a mix of case studies, simulations and readings to bring business concepts to life. It is a collaborative, creative and high-tech learning environment that meets the needs of working professionals. Students can finish their master's degree in just 18 months of part-time study.
