All students at Harris School of Business must have a high school diploma or a GED equivalent. Legal Office Technology - Diploma

Legal office support professionals with specialized training in legal terminology, legal office procedures and legal document preparation are prepared to make a valuable contribution to the legal office team. This program teaches legal specialty skills, along with extensive hands-on training in word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation and file management programs. In addition, students will develop knowledge of proofreading and writing skills, math problem solving, legal transcription and professional office procedures. Through completion of a career preparation course and a supervised externship in a legal office setting, students will develop traditional and internet job search skills designed to build confidence for handling the transition from school to a career in legal office support.

Computerized Accounting Technology - Diploma

This is an intensive, highly computer-oriented program, which appeals to the student who wants a career in the accounting field. Students learn accounting principles along with a variety of software programs, with an emphasis on computerized accounting applications. The program includes an introduction to payroll procedures and a review of business letter writing.

The Computerized Accounting Technology program is targeted at individuals with good basic skills and math aptitude who seek to enter or re-enter employment in an accounting-related position.
