Indiana Business College is a postsecondary, proprietary educational institution. Founded as a single campus in 1902, the college has grown to 11 on-ground campuses across the state of Indiana. We have an online division and a culinary division, The Chef's Academy. We currently offer more than 20 programs of study for our students in the areas of business, medical, information technology, criminal justice and culinary arts.

Diploma - Accounting Assistant

The accounting assistant program covers basic bookkeeping, computerized accounting and beginning accounting theory. It prepares students for entry-level positions in billing, accounts payable or receivable, and bookkeeping. Upon completing this program, students may transfer all earned credits toward the Accounting Associate of Applied Science degree.

Basic bookkeeping principles are included to enhance preparation for the clerical work many office assistants are expected to handle. After completion of this program, students may transfer all earned credits toward the Administrative Professional Associate of Applied Science program.

Graduates are prepared for positions in private business, public accounting and government. The program includes specialized courses in the use of electronic software designed to enhance the effectiveness of one's ability to plan, implement, monitor and evaluate the status of a project. Graduates of the program are prepared to begin careers as manager trainees or project assistants in any number of industries.

Bachelor's - Business Management

The Business Management Bachelor's degree provides business students with a thorough understanding of theory and application related to the business environment. Students will be able to collect and analyze data, identify alternative solutions and select the most appropriate course of action for specific business problems.

The program seeks to develop knowledge and skills in research, critical thinking, problem-solving and current technology for application and use in communication, data collection/analysis and solving business problems. Students will also be provided with an understanding of professional ethics and its application to the business environment.

The program has been developed as a completion program for students who have graduated from an accredited associate's degree program in a related area, or who have earned college credit equivalent to such a degree.
