Associate of Arts in Accounting

The course work will prepare students academically and professionally while developing the social and economic attitudes, which is essential for an entry-level accounting position in today's economic environment and transfer to 4-year degree programs. The courses will provide an understanding of accounting methods, management skills and business knowledge. An essential element of each course is learning to use laptop computers and a variety of software applications.

Associate of Arts in Health Services Administration

This program of study will prepare students for entry-level employment positions such as: physicians' office managers, assistant managers of physicians' offices, supervisors in health care organizations and other related administrative assignments in the health services environment. This program will enhance employment and promotion potential in health services organizations and industries and transfer to 4-year degree programs.

Bachelor of Arts in Accounting (Online)

Keiser University's Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting focuses on accounting skills needed in today's business environment. The program provides a basic understanding of business and addresses the unique skills needed by an accountant through the use of case studies, projects and personal computers incorporating various software packages. Topics include accounting in the areas of financial, managerial, auditing and tax.

Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration

Keiser University's Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration is designed to provide instruction to ensure students have the analytical skills, communication skills and academic knowledge to be able to: interpret and convey financial information; make business decisions based on value of money, investment and capitalization options; make marketing decisions geared towards meeting customer needs; formulate strategy, plans and policies to meet organizational goals and objectives; and to develop and locate the resources necessary to insure successful management of a business.

The student will learn the theoretical foundations to successfully accomplish the business objectives of a firm by the effective management of scarce resources - capital, human and physical. Students will use computer and software applications necessary to prosper in a business environment. The student will focus on information as a resource for the organization and the manager's role in collecting, analyzing and presenting that information in a decision making process. Keiser University offers four concentration areas within the BA in Business Administration:

Bachelor of Arts in Health Services Administration

This program focuses on health services administration skills students need in today's health care industry. The program not only provides a basic understanding of health services as a whole, but also looks at the unique skills needed by a health service administrator through the use of case studies, projects and personal computers incorporating various software packages. Topics covered include: coding and billing for health care, public and private health care, along with the financial and legal issues in health care. This program will provide students with the education necessary to succeed in the health services environment and enhance employment and promotion potential as well.

Bachelor of Arts in Professional Accounting (Online)

Keiser University's Bachelor of Arts degree in Professional Accounting focuses on accounting skills needed to meet the requirements to sit for the Certified Public Accounting (CPA) examination in the state of Florida. Topics include accounting skills in the areas of financial accounting, accounting information systems, governmental and institutional accounting, tax accounting, auditing, ethics and employment law.
