Herzing UniversityHerzing University was one of the first post-secondary institutions founded to train students for the computer industry. The first Herzing University was founded as a computer programming school in 1965 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, by Henry and Suzanne Herzing. Since then, Herzing University has grown from a modest classroom to a progressive leader in career education. The average length of time for a student taking a full course load is two semesters (eight months), but the program can be completed in one-and-a-half semesters (six months). A minimum of 24 semester credit hours is required for graduation. Required courses include:
Associate of Applied Science in AccountingBack to topThe program prepares students with the necessary skills and academic knowledge for entry-level accounting positions in various business enterprises. In addition to providing a firm foundation in general business, the program provides students with a thorough grounding in both the theory and practice of accounting. The length and content of the program is structured to prepare the graduate to take the uniform Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination once the graduate has gained the required number of years of experience in accounting to be eligible to take the examination.
