Associate of Science in Accounting

The Associate of Science degree in Accounting will provide graduates with an opportunity to advance in a career more rapidly and to build on a foundation for completing an undergraduate degree. The program covers many areas of accounting including payroll, tax, and financial accounting. Because of the increasing use of computers in accounting, the program emphasizes the use of spreadsheets, database, and word processing software. To provide more skills to help student succeed, the accounting programs focuses on business communication and career development. Along with the accounting knowledge needed to pursue employment, graduates of the program will have acquired extra skills needed to help them advance in their career.

Associate of Science in Business

The Associate of Science degree in Business provides students with skills in basic management, accounting and computer science applications. The program is designed to impart an understanding of fundamental business management principles and to develop diverse business knowledge. Students take classes ranging from Computerized Accounting to Introduction to Human Resources. As is the foundation of any successful business, emphasis is placed on accounting. The accounting courses in the business program deal with various aspects of accounting including accepted accounting principles, accounting theory and applications, computerized accounting applications, budgeting, cost centers, profit centers, home office and branch accounting and cost/revenue analysis.
