Convenient locations and schedules.

Classes are offered on our Main Campus in Arlington, our Ballston Center, also in Arlington. Both are convenient to I-66 and the Ballston-MU Metro. Classes are also offered at the Reston Center at 1861 Wiehle Avenue, just of the Dulles Toll Road, in Fairfax, VA. Classes may also be available at on-site corporate locations in which customized programs are provided through our Office of Corporate Outreach. Some classes are also offered online.

Business Administration (BBA) -2+2 Program through the Reston CenterThis program is for those who have earned an associate degree in Business Administration or have completed significant undergraduate coursework in Business. With evening and/or Saturday classes, this program is designed specifically for adult learners who are working professionals or those seeking to re-enter the workforce. This program is offered through Marymount's Reston Center, conveniently located at 1861 Wiehle Avenue, in Reston, VA.

Marymount's MBA program prepares students for success in today's competitive business environment. The program offers an integrated curriculum that will empower students to think critically, strategically, ethically, and globally, while enhancing their understanding of the total business enterprise. Marymount MBA students benefit from a student-centered learning environment as they gain an interdisciplinary understanding of the various business concepts and practices from both a scholarly and a real-world perspective.

To provide support for individuals career goals, the program offers specialized tracks:

The program is accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs.

A majority of our working MBA candidates complete their MBA degree within three years by taking courses two evenings a week, on Saturdays, or online. Our flexible class schedules have been designed to meet the needs of the busy lives of working students.

Business Administration (MBA) at Reston Center

Marymount's MBA program can be completed through its Reston Center in as little as 21 months. Classes meet two weeknights and Saturdays. In lieu of the track options, students in this program will complete their degree with two electives from the School of Business Administration. The Reston Center is conveniently located just off the Dulles Toll Road in Fairfax, VA.

Note: It is strongly recommended that candidates have at least two years of work experience before applying to the School of Business Administration programs.

Health Care Management (MS)

The mission of MS in Health Care Management (HCM) program is to prepare individuals to become knowledgeable and ethical leaders in the field of health care management. The program will train students for a career in health care by integrating core business skills with specialized training in the characteristics that are unique to the health care environment. The program promotes service contributions by faculty and students for the community to enable a greater understanding of the health care industry and to positively impact the delivery of health care services. The program is dedicated to conducting and disseminating research to advance the field, and applying the new knowledge to the program curriculum and in practice. The HCM program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME).

Marymount's MA in Human Resources Management prepares individuals to excel as specialist or generalist human resource professional, manager, or consultant. Students will acquire competencies in all of the core human resource management functional areas, within a systems perspective and relating strategically to the overall organization performance.

To meet the needs of the working professional, Marymount's Reston Center offers a 36-credit Master of Arts in Human Resource Management program for a select group of graduate students. This program is ideally suited for working professionals interested in beginning or advancing their career in the HR field. . This program is offered in a cohort format allowing participants to be part of an energizing learning community, joining with a group of students with common ambitions and experiences who take classes together throughout the duration of the program. The program is offered at Marymount's Reston Center conveniently located just off the Dulles Toll Road in Fairfax, VA.

Those preparing for a leadership role in the IT industry can reach their goal with the help of Marymount University's Master of Science in Information Technology. It is for individuals who are managing enterprise infrastructure, designing computer systems with current systems life cycle methodologies, creating and maintaining high-quality computer software, engaging in computer security management or technical operations or managing complex IT projects. A variety of electives, a research or project option and specialized tracks enable students to tailor their studies to meet their career needs in government or industry.

  • Students will have the option of choosing one of three specialized tracks:Computer Security Project Management and Technology Leadership

  • The program is designed to provide the academic foundation for those seeking to become a chief information officer (CIO) or attain a similar senior IT position.

Legal Administration (MA)

The Master of Arts in Legal Administration (LA) prepares individuals for a career as a paralegal or legal assistant. Students will be able to choose from two tracks, depending upon their career goals.

  • Legal Specialty Training (Track I)- for those wishing to prepare for a career as a paralegal or legal assistant
  • Paralegals moving into Paralegal Administration (Track II)-for those interested in supervising paralegals or administering paralegal departments within law firms, corporate law departments, or law-related agencies.

Upon graduation, graduates of either track will be able to do the following:

  • Understand the sources of law, as well as federal and state court systemsand their powers
  • Conduct basic legal research, using print and computer sources
  • Analyze a set of facts relating to a legal dispute to determine what further information is required to prepare for resolution of the dispute and where this information can be obtained.
  • Draft documents and prepare legal forms not typically used in areas of general practice
  • Understand the various types of documentation generated in legal cases and identify methods for information processing/document management with a computerized emphasis
  • Understand the ethical considerations affecting the practice of law

Each program track is approved by the American Bar Association (ABA). Graduates of ABA programs may not provide legal services to the public, except as permitted by law.

Middle managers are often active participants in strategy formation and execution and are key players in the continual repositioning of organizations for ongoing success.

The master's degree program in Management at Marymount University can help rising and mid-level managers who are focused on the effective practice of management. Computer Science

This program is for students who have previously earned a bachelor's degree in a field other than Computer Science. This certificate is designed for individuals who want to prepare for entry-level positions in software development. It also provides the preparatory work necessary to enter Marymount's Master of Science in Information Technology's Software Engineering track. Students who begin the program in the fall semester can typically complete it in one year.

The program is available at Marymount's Reston Center and Arlington location.

Forensic Computing

This program is designed for individuals who have earned a bachelor's degree and want to prepare for entry-level positions in this emerging field. The program provides students with the knowledge required by the International Society for Forensic Computer Examiners for their Certified Computer Examiner standing.

Information Technology

This program is designed for students who need to update or upgrade their expertise for the computer-networked environment of today. It focuses on the core skills needed for information technology jobs in business or government and covers topics such as object-oriented programming (Java), relational databases, Webb application development, computer networks, and computer security.

The program is available at Marymount's Reston Center and in Arlington.

Computer Security and Information Assurance

This 15-credit program will prepare students for the computer security field in business and government. This field is predicted to foster job growth, especially in the Washington metropolitan area.

Health Care Informatics

This 18-credit program is designed for individuals who wish to pursue an information technology career in a health care organization. The program includes three electives chosen in consultation with the directors of the Information Technology and Health Care Management programs.

Human Resource Management

This 18-credit program prepares students to practice in the core areas of human resources. The program consists of a set on integrated human resource courses that reflect a systems perspective and strategic approach to managing human resources.

Information Technology

This 18-credit program offers current perspectives on the major issues facing information technology professionals.

IT Project Management and Technology Leadership

This 18-credit program prepares students for the IT project management field in business and government. Individuals with project management qualifications are increasingly sought by government agencies, government contractors, and other industries.

Instructional Design

This 15-credit program prepares students to determine when training and education solutions are appropriate, determine the requirements for instructional programs, design and develop instructional programs and supporting materials, and evaluate the results of instructional programs.

Leadership

This 18-credit program prepares students to deliver effective and innovative leadership practices in an unpredictable organization environment.

Leading and Managing Change

This 15-credit program helps managers learn how to overcome resistance to change, seek new alternatives, and connect, in a fundamental way, with the goals of their employees.

Organization Development

This 18-credit program allows students to concentrate on OD applications and fieldwork.

Paralegal Studies

This 18-credit program is for students who have a bachelor's degree and who wish to become certified paralegals. This program is approved by the American Bar Association (ABA).

Project Management

This 18-credit program prepares students for the increasingly recognized and valued discipline of project management.

It is available at Marymount's Ballston Center and at its Reston Center.
